PERRIS – Once three separate drive-by shooting calls occurred within 34 minutes of each other on
March 18th – on the 1000 Block of Ravenhollow Drive, the 200 Block of Count Turf Street, and the 100
Block of Superior Court – Officers began to connect the dots. First, they gathered witness statements
from the two victims from one location who’d been found suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot
wounds.
Next, Deputies learned that the suspect vehicle was a newer black BMW 5 series. As “the Perris
Station’s Investigations Bureau assumed the investigation and learned Moreno Valley had a similar
shooting involving the same vehicle,” said Sergeant Dave Tinker, “Investigators located the suspect
vehicle license plate (NV Temporary NX-428-071) using the FLOCK camera system.”
In a savvy move – a contact to the Nevada car dealership on March 21st revealed that the registered
owner, Andre Williams Jr., had a tracker on the vehicle. And while tracker data displayed the vehicle
frequenting an address on the 100 Block of San Luis Drive in Perris – the vehicle, itself, was currently
showing in Las Vegas.
When a tracker update listed the vehicle’s return to San Luis Drive – two suspects from Perris, Jose
Jimenez (24), and Alejandro Jimenez (22) , were detained as the vehicle left the location on March 22nd.
“A search warrant for the house was written and served, Andre Williams Jr. a 26-year-old resident of Las Vegas and registered owner of the suspect vehicle was detained.” said Sgt. Tinker. “Evidence of the
crimes were located in the suspect vehicle and at the San Luis Drive residence.”
The trio of detained suspects were booked, for Attempted Murder and additional felony charges, into the Cois Byrd Detention Center. During this ongoing investigation, any and all information and queries
should be directed to either Investigator DeMattia at Riverside County Sheriff’s dispatch at (951) 776-
1099, or to the Perris Station at (951) 210-1000.
