The Kings County Sheriff’s Office has announced three arrests after a deputy who pulled over to provide roadside assistance reportedly found drugs in one of the vehicles.
Just before 10 PM on Tuesday, April 5, a patrol deputy pulled over after noticing two vehicles that appeared to be broken down on the side of the road in the area of 18th Avenue and Lacey Boulevard in Lemoore.
Three individuals present at the scene were identified as Pablo Chavez, Wiatt Breshears, and Amanda St. Denis. The three explained that one of the vehicles had run out of gas. The deputy then asked if any of them had anything illegal in their possession, to which Chavez and St. Denis replied that they each had glass meth pipes, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Breshears and St. Denis were also both found to be on searchable probation, the Sheriff’s Office said. The deputy searched Breshears’s vehicle and found nearly four ounces of methamphetamine, which Breshears reportedly admitted belonged to him.
K-9 Deputy Bluz was also brought to the scene, and reportedly discovered an additional sixteen ounces of methamphetamine, which Chavez admitted belonged to him, the Sheriff’s Office said.
All three individuals were ultimately arrested and booked on narcotics-related charges, and later released.
