SLO County man accused of sexually abusing wife, stepdaughter for years
A San Luis Obispo County man has been arrested in Los Angeles on allegations of repeatedly sexually abusing both his wife and stepdaughter.
On March 30, authorities arrested 36-year-old Daniel Ramirez-Gutierrez at LAX just before he was scheduled to depart on a one-way flight to South America. Authorities were tipped off by Ramirez-Gutierrez’s wife that he intended to flee the country in fear of a possible investigation, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Indeed, an investigation had begun just two days earlier, on March 28, when Ramirez-Gutierrez’s 11-year-old stepdaughter came forward and told authorities that her stepfather had been molesting her since she was five.
Not long after, the girl’s mother and Ramirez-Gutierrez’s wife, 31, came forward with allegations of her own, telling investigators that Ramirez-Gutierrez had kept her under strict instructions to fellate and have intercourse with him on a daily basis, the Sheriff’s Office said.
On March 31, Ramirez-Gutierrez was booked at the San Luis Obispo County jail on numerous charges related to the allegations, including continuous sexual abuse of a child, rape by force or fear, and rape by threat of retaliation.
