“RIVERSIDE, CA – Recently, detectives assigned to the Sexual Assault – Child Abuse Unit began an investigation earlier this month into allegations of sexual abuse against a minor child by an adult.
As a result of their investigation, detectives arrested 53-year-old Carl Jess Sanchez of Riverside on Thursday, April 7, 2022. He was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for aggravated sexual assault and lewd and lascivious acts against a child under the age of 14. He is currently being held on 1 million dollars’ bail.
Mr. Sanchez has been a substitute teacher for the past several years within Riverside County and been around other children.
