“RIVERSIDE, CA – On Thursday, April 14, 2022, three suspects were arrested for the murder of 25-year-old Eric Flores of Riverside, who was shot and killed on Wednesday, March 2nd while sitting inside a vehicle along the 10000 block of Gould Street.
At approximately 2:27 a.m. that morning, Riverside Police Officers responded to Gould Street in the Arlanza neighborhood of Riverside for reports of numerous gunshots heard in the area. When they arrived, officers found Mr. Flores inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics with the Riverside Fire Department responded but he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives with the Robbery – Homicide Unit and Gang Intelligence Unit, along with Specialists from the Forensics Unit, responded and assumed the investigation. They have been assisted by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office.
During their investigation, detectives learned the identities of those involved in this murder. With assistance from the Riverside Police Department’s METRO Team, West PACT Team (Post-release Accountability & Compliance Team), Gang Intelligence Unit, and the Riverside County District Attorney’s Gang Impact Team, all three suspects were located and arrested last Thursday.
18-year-old Justin Figueroa, 21-year-old Jacob Quiroz, and 25-year-old David Jose Martinez, all of Riverside, were booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Justin and Jacob are being held without bail while David is being held on 1 million dollars’ bail.
This investigation is still ongoing and there are no further details to release at this time.
