A 17-year-old Anaheim male arrested for shooting death of man at the Anaheim Cinco de Mayo Festival

A 17-year-old male from Anaheim has been arrested for the shooting death of Gildardo Parrales Gracian at the Anaheim Cinco de Mayo Festival this past weekend.
The suspect, an Anaheim resident, was booked at Orange County Juvenile Hall for the murder of Gracian, a 36-year-old man also from Anaheim. No other information about him has been released due to his age.
The shooting took place shortly after 10 PM on Sunday, May 1st. The annual Anaheim Cinco de Mayo Festival was being held at La Palma Park, when “a fight erupted involving the group of juveniles,” said Sgt. Shane Carringer. “During the fight, a 17-year-old, male, resident of Anaheim fired a handgun. At least one gunshot struck Gracian who was a bystander, and not involved in the fight.”
Gracian was taken to a hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries.
“A group of juvenile subjects were also detained and a
handgun was recovered at the scene…. Detectives are not releasing the reason for the fight that led to the shooting,” said Sgt. Carringer.
