Man found stabbed and deceased inside vehicle, Anaheim man arrested for murder
A man from Anaheim is being charged with murder after officers found a dead body inside a parked SUV.
The victim, 34-year-old Amado Francisco Lopez-Martinez of Anaheim, “had suffered stab wounds,” said Sgt. Shane Carringer. The suspect, Jorge Escamilla, 24, was booked at Anaheim City Jail. His bail has been set at $1 million.
Anaheim police got a call around 8:30 PM on Sunday, May 8th about screaming coming from inside a parked vehicle in the 1500 block of West Ball Road. When police arrived, they found the small SUV, with Escamilla inside. Escamilla got out of the vehicle and was arrested without incident. When police searched inside the vehicle, they found Lopez-Martinez, already deceased.
A knife was also found at the scene.
“Detectives are not disclosing the relationship between Escamilla and Lopez-Martinez, or a possible motive for the crime,” said Sgt. Carringer.
