“On Wednesday May 4, 2022 at approximately 10:00PM, American Canyon Police Department (ACPD) officers stopped a black Toyota Camry, for expired vehicle registration, on southbound SR-29 near the intersection of Crawford Way. Driver David Hizon, 38 yrs of Vallejo, and passenger Rike Fanning, 41 yrs of Dixon, were contacted during the stop.
After Fanning originally lied and gave officers a fake name, they learned that both Fanning and Hizon were on active probation. On top of that, ACPD officers could clearly see an open container of alcohol and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle revealed approximately one half ounce of methamphetamine, Xanax pills, oxycodone pills, and psilocybin mushrooms, along with items associated with the sales and use of narcotics. Officers also found .40 caliber ammunition inside the vehicle, which neither Hizon nor Fanning can be in possession of as convicted felons.
The Dubious Duo were both arrested for felony narcotic sales, felon in possession of ammo, misdemeanor drug paraphernalia, and conspiracy to commit a crime. Fanning was additionally charged with providing false information to a peace officer, which is a misdemeanor and no no. Please don’t lie to us. Both were released a short time after being booked into NCDC.”
