“On April 28th, Officers from the El Centro Police Department were working a Domestic Highway Enforcement detail in the area of Highway 111 between the City of Calexico and Brawley.
Officers observed a Black Chevrolet Silverado turning southbound onto Highway 111 from Heber road.
As the vehicle made the turn, it failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic, a violation of 21801(a) CVC. Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on the vehicle.
A K9 sniff of the vehicle was conducted. There was a positive K9 alert to the odor narcotics.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of approximately 19 pounds of Methamphetamine.
Both adult occupants were arrested for transportation of a controlled substance. #ecpd #everyhoureveryday #saferstreets #elcentro #DHE #police #california #drugs.”
