“The Amador County Sheriff’s Office would like to recognize the hard work, dedication, and commitment of the members of our Homeless Amador React Team (HART). Despite being a relatively new program at the Sheriff’s Office, HART members have been able to log some early success stories.
Recently, by collaborating with our partners at the Amador County Probation Department and District Attorney’s Office, HART was able to assist five people with enrollment in drug & alcohol rehabilitation programs.
Members of HART have also been working with Amador County Environmental Health to address waterway pollution issues and with local property owners to eliminate trespass issues on private land. HART members have also taken an active role in assisting an elderly woman found residing in her vehicle.
The woman was provided with multiple resources to ensure her medical, dietary, and shelter needs are met. Recognizing the success and impact of the first HART members, Sheriff Redman has added five additional members to the HART team. Our thanks goes out to our dedicated men and women serving on HART for their efforts to better the lives of all in our great community.”
