Man reportedly exchanges gunfire with attempted robbery suspects; one arrested

“This morning, at 5:42 a.m., the male victim, 23, was driving past his parents’ home in the 6700 block of Everest Avenue when he saw the suspects lying in wait to commit a robbery.
The victim confronted the three suspects with a firearm and became involved in a gun battle with them. The suspects fled and three of them later arrived at an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Two suspects, 25 and 20 year-old-males, were admitted for treatment and their charges were referred to the District Attorney’s Office for complaint.
After being treated, officers arrested Kailen Guy, 19, for attempted home invasion robbery. This remains an active investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to call the Stockton Police Department at (209) 937-8323.”
