“Tuesday patrol responded to Red Hawk Casino to assist with a report of a suspicious subject who was sleeping in his vehicle.
Deputies arrived and identified the subject as 33-year-old Jonathan Roy Montgomery from Vallejo, CA. A search of Montgomery’s vehicle revealed a lower receiver for a Glock handgun with a loaded magazine, as well as additional parts and pieces to a firearm.
A search of Montgomery’s person yielded packages containing suspected fentanyl, which was later weighed to be approximately 50 grams. Other property seized as evidence was more than $1,600 in cash, a digital scale, and 9mm ammunition.
Upon the completion of the investigation, Montgomery was arrested for multiple charges to include: possession of narcotic controlled substance for sale (Fentanyl), possession of controlled substance for sale. (Methamphetamine), and prohibited person own, or possess ammunition.
Montgomery was booked into the El Dorado County Jail and he currently remains in custody. Great job patrol!”
