“On 06/07/2022 at approximately 5:43 p.m., Visalia Police Department Officers responded to a vehicle burglary that had just occurred in the 300 Block of S. Dollner.
Investigative leads led officers to the area of N. Giddings and W. Oak Ave. Johnathon Vermeer, 20 years of age, was located in the area. He was taken into custody in the area of N. Park St. and W. Oak Ave. after attempting to flee from officers on a bicycle.
Vermeer was found to be in possession of the victims stolen property. He was also found to be in possession of property belonging to at least two additional victims of vehicle burglaries. All stolen property was returned to the victims.
Vermeer was booked into the Tulare County Sheriff’s Pre-Trial Facility for vehicle burglary and various additional charges.”
