A Fresno man has been arrested as the primary suspect in an alleged murder that occurred earlier this month.
58-year-old Manuel Espinoza is accused of fatally stabbing 48-year-old Ismael Montes during an altercation that took place near Merced and M Streets on June 6. Surveillance video obtained from the area placed Espinoza at the scene, police said.
On June 11, Espinoza was located and arrested on suspicion of murder, making this his second arrest in connection to a deadly incident — police say he had also been arrested in 1987 in connection to the death of a 37-year-old man.
Espinoza remains in custody.
