Carjacking suspects arrested after allegedly spray painting stolen vehicle
Two men have been arrested for carjacking after a witness reported them for spray painting the vehicle behind an Apple Valley residence.
The suspects, Ronald Million (26) and Jonathan Million (34), both Apple Valley residents, were given a ride by the male carjacking victim on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 7th. The victim informed officers that the suspects “later carjacked him and took his wallet,” said Staci Parks of the Victor Valley Police Station. “The victim sustained cuts to his forehead, hands, and arms when the suspects pushed him to the ground.” The suspects fled in the victim’s 2017 Hyundai Elantra before police arrived.
Deputies did not locate the suspects or stolen vehicle until the following day, when a caller reported that people were spray painting a silver car the color black behind a residence on Deep Creek Road. Officers arrived at the residence and commanded over a PA system for everyone inside the residence to come out.
Ronald exited the residence and surrendered to police; Jonathan was located inside a motorhome parked on the property and arrested. The vehicle was also located and confirmed as the one that was carjacked the previous day.
Both men were booked for carjacking at High Desert Detention Center. Each one’s bail was set at $250,000.
