“After weeks of tireless work, on June 21, 2022, officers assigned to Tracy PD’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) were able to locate the suspect in the assault that occurred on June 3rd, 2022 at a local park that was previously posted. Aaron James Mears, 28 years old of Tracy, was taken into custody based on the Ramey warrant obtained by our General Investigations Bureau.
Mears was booked into the San Joaquin County jail on the following charge:
– PC 664-187: Attempted Murder
We would like to thank our Special Enforcement Team and General Investigations Bureau for their unwavering dedication to our City. Their dogged investigation skills allow them to successfully make arrests in these complex crimes, often beginning with very few leads.”
