“On July 8, 2022, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office arrested 46-year-old Samuel Paul Cantrell on 15 counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 and 1 count of Possessing Obscene Matter Depicting Person Under 18. The accusations occurred multiple times over a two-year period with one victim. Cantrell is currently being held in the Sacramento County Main Jail with a bail amount of $1,500,000.
Cantrell worked as a volunteer Youth Group Leader / Youth Worship Leader at Crossroads Church in Carmichael. The victim stemming from this arrest was not associated with Crossroads Church and investigators are not implicating the organization.
