“On Saturday, July 16, 2022, at approximately 8:55 a.m., a BCSO deputy was driving in the area of Shallow Springs Terrace and Sandstone Lane in Chico. While in the area, the deputy saw an individual he recognized through prior law enforcement contacts as Michael Gumaer, age 44 of Oroville.
The deputy knew Michael had several outstanding warrants for his arrest. The deputy took Michael into custody. Upon searching Michael upon his arrest, the deputy located numerous bags of methamphetamine, marijuana, heroin, LSD, suboxone, burglary tools, a digital scale, and additional narcotics packaging.
Andrea Maestas, age 35 of Oroville, was contacted down the street by another deputy. Andrea was associated to Michael. Andrea was arrested for being in possession of drug paraphernalia. Both individuals were transported and booked into the Butte County Jail.”
