Traffic stop leads to arrest for alleged possession of a handgun and narcotics

“On 7/30/2022 at approximately 4:20 PM, Officers from the Santa Rosa Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of Sunset Avenue. The Officers contacted the driver and sole occupant, Fabian Liscano Ramos. The Officers were familiar with Ramos from several prior contacts and arrests.
While they were talking with Ramos, the officers smelled the odor of fresh burnt marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle. The Officers also saw a pipe in the car with freshly burnt marijuana in it.
A search of the vehicle was conducted. The Officers located a loaded .45 caliber handgun, suspected cocaine, and additional marijuana. The cocaine weighed approximately 8 grams and was packaged in several small bags. Five of the bags weighed the same amount.
Ramos is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing firearms. The handgun was not reported stolen.
Ramos is a 24-year-old Santa Rosa resident. Ramos was taken into custody and booked at the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Center for the following felony charges:
