“7/24/2022 Elias Bullington was arrested on several charges including resist/obstruct a peace officer, felony and misdemeanor threats, attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon/great bodily injury, and battery. The charges stem from 2 separate incidents reported to Yreka Police Department.
Bullington had contacted a female sometime before 10:00 A.M and during a verbal argument, Bullington reportedly grabbed the female by the throat and choked her. A case was taken, and units searched for Elias. Just before 2 P.M our dispatch center received a report of a possible stabbing near the greenway area behind the Siskiyou County Museum and that “Eli” was the suspect.
Officers responded and located Elias Bullington attempting to cross the street. Bullington was detained while another officer attempted to locate the stabbing victim. The victim was treated for his injuries. During the initial investigation, several witnesses stated Bullington made threats toward them and assaulted 2 other people in the greenway. Thank you Ca. Dept. of Fish and Game for the assistance.
07/28/2022 Michael Chandler was arrested for numerous charges including parole violation, burglary, prowling, obstruct a peace officer and mail theft. Michael’s run of theft started earlier in the week when we received reports that a subject matching his description was going door-to- door begging for money for his daughter’s medication.
At one point he entered a residence, and the homeowner reported his wallet missing. Chandler was seen stealing packages off a porch and eventually was taken into custody. 5 cases and numerous incident reports have resulted in charges being filed for petty theft, burglary, forgery, resist/obstruct a peace officer, misrepresent a card holder, grand theft, personate to get money, and a few others. Yesterday, numerous items including stolen mailed medication, credit cards, and other miscellaneous things were recovered in Michael Chandler’s possession.
Several of our victims were able to provide camera footage and/or clear physical descriptions for Chandler. This continued effort by our community helped speed up the investigation and resulted in the arrest of Michael Chandler.”
