BRENTWOOD — Officers responding to several armed robberies at Brentwood City Hall Parking Garage and nearby Windsor Park arrested five suspects. They were apprehended during a high- risk traffic stop.
On August 8 at 6:16 p.m., officers responded to an altercation that started at the parking garage. The suspects challenged the victims to fight. Next, they followed the victims to Windsor Park and threatened them with a firearm. Fortunately, no one was reported injured.
While officers were investigating this incident, a second group of victims were assaulted and robbed at gunpoint at the parking garage. The same five suspects are implicated in both incidents.
A short while later, an officer spotted the suspects’ vehicle. It was stopped near Sycamore Drive and Robin Street, where they were taken into custody. The vehicle was searched and items belonging to robbery victims were recovered.
Two suspects 21-year-old Christian Sanchez and 18-year-old Jonathan Sanchez are residents of Brentwood. They face charges for robbery second-degree and conspiracy to commit crime.
Both remain in custody at the West County Detention Facility, each in lieu of $100,000 bond. Three juveniles were also arrested. One is a 17-year-old from Brentwood. The other two juveniles from Oakley are 16 years old. They face robbery, battery, and related charges.
No firearm allegedly used to commit these crimes has been recovered at this point. Anyone who witnessed or has information about these crimes can contact Brentwood PD at 925-809- 7911.
