“Approximately one month ago, the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office Detectives began working on a burglary that occurred at the Hills Church in El Dorado Hills. A suspect location in Sacramento was identified and detectives were able to identify a person of interest, the same day. A search warrant was executed at a residence in Sacramento and numerous items were recovered related to the burglary. A suspect was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Jail and he was released the same evening.
Within days following his release, the suspect returned to El Dorado County and committed additional crimes, then returned to Sacramento. Detectives would later execute searches at two locations within Sacramento County that lead to recovered evidence for additional burglaries in El Dorado Hills, to include a local bicycle shop. Detectives also located a stolen vehicle which was recovered at the scene. The charges for the two individuals consisted of burglary, grand theft, conspiracy and possession of machine gun. The majority of the investigative leads produced for this case were from high quality surveillance systems.”
