October 5, 2022 – Ventura County, Ca. There may well be the gender obverse of the eternal verity “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” as evidenced by the circumstances surrounding the October 2 nd arrest of 34-year-old Thousand Oaks resident Aroldo Facundo Najera Perez.
According to Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Det. Sgt. Rob Yoos, the ire of Perez became an issue just two hours after midnight on October 2 nd when deputies attached to the Thousand Oaks Police Department’s East County Patrol Unit were called to a local area hospital pursuant to a medical staff report of emergency room patients—an adult male and an adult female ”who had been attacked and beaten with a blunt object.”
The ensuing investigation at the hospital and interview of the two patients who had reportedly be cohabitating at the time of the attack, indicated that the individual responsible for their injuries was Perez, whom the female identified as her ex-husband.
Forty-eight hours later, on the morning of October 4 th , detectives attached to the VCSD East County Major Crimes Unit made contact with Perez at a Newbury Park residence. He was taken into custody at that time and transported to Ventura County Jail, where he was booked on a charge of domestic violence and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. He remains in custody with his bail set at $120,000.
