“On Monday, October 17th, dispatch received a call regarding a domestic violence incident in progress at an apartment on Peachtree Drive. While officers were on the way, they learned the man in the apartment was armed with a handgun.
Upon arriving, officers were able to get the victim out of the apartment and shortly thereafter, convinced the man to come outside as well, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Officers located the man’s gun, a loaded Glock with a high-capacity magazine. He was later booked at Solano County Jail for domestic violence and weapons violations.
Last year alone, there were 686 documented cases of domestic violence in the city of Fairfield. Many of those cases involved the same parties with a history of domestic violence that was never reported to the police.
