The Kern County Sheriff’s Office has announced two arrests in connection to the recent theft of a utility vehicle.
Jose Gonzalez (48, of Lamont) and Jesus Olvera (31, of Bakersfield) were identified as the primary suspects in the alleged theft of a Kobuta utility vehicle in Buttonwillow sometime overnight.
Property Crimes detectives ultimately located the vehicle on the 5700 block of Ino Madera Street in Lamont on October 27. The suspects were located and contacted nearby, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Detectives searched the property where the stolen utility vehicle was located and also reportedly discovered a Caterpillar tractor, two car trailers, a box trailer, three pickups, and a stolen motorcycle, all of which had been reported stolen out of the Bakersfield area.
Both were arrested and later booked on suspicion of possession of stolen property. An unnamed woman was also reportedly arrested on an unrelated felony warrant.
