A Stockton man was recently arrested on suspicion of unlawful weapon possession.

44-year-old Rondell Hale was reportedly taken into custody on the morning of October 19 after being found in possession of weapons and ammunition during a cleanup mission near Lincoln Street and Mormon Slough, according to a Stockton PD press release.

Officers had spotted what appeared to be a gun in Hale’s waistband, only to discover it was a pellet gun. They soon found that he was also in possession of a firearm and ammunition, police said.

Hale was detained, and ultimately restrained after reportedly trying to harm himself.

He was ultimately booked on suspicion of weapon charges, possession of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest.
