The Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began an investigation of Child Sexual Abuse Material Violation. After receiving information that Adam Cabrera (30) of Fresno was in possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material they arrested him.
As the investigation into Cabrera continued, investigators discovered information that he himself had committed sexual assault on an underage girl he personally knew.
Cabrera was booked into the Fresno County Jail on the following felony charges; lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 and possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material. His bail was set at $220,000.
The investigation is ongoing as law enforcement believes Cabrera may have more victims that have not yet come forward.
