The Monterey County Sheriff’s Sexual Assault Task Force was recently been notified of a male sex offender that was falsifying his registered residency.
The man Brent Van Foresee (56) was registered as a transient living near the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. However it was alleged that his actual residence was located at a home off of Las Flores Street in Soledad near a local school.
The Task Force Investigators along with other members of the Monterey County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant at Foresee’s Las Flores Street residence, during which the suspect attempted to flee the scene. He was quickly arrested and taken into custody with no further incident.
Foresee was booked into the Monterey County Jail where he faces charges of failing to register as a sex offender and providing false information during registration. His bail has been set at $10,000.
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office requests that if anyone has any information about a sex offender who be out of compliance or in violation please, that they please contact Detective David Gonzalez at 831-755-3811 or Detective Sergeant David Vargas at 831-755-3773.
