SFPD Arrests Two Suspects in Connection to Double Shooting on Bus
San Francisco police have reportedly arrested two suspects in connection to a double shooting in which one person was killed and another injured, according to an SFPD media release.
Police had responded on the afternoon of August 3 to the area of Velasco Avenue and Santos Street to investigate a report of a shooting onboard a bus. At the scene, officers reportedly discovered a 20-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital. Despite extensive life-saving efforts by law enforcement and medical personnel, he was ultimately pronounced deceased.
Meanwhile, a second victim — identified as a 62-year-old woman — admitted herself to another area hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
Homicide detectives assumed the investigation and soon identified the primary suspects in the shooting as 23-year-old Ilasa Faalogoifo and 21-year-old Jasmine Taaga, both of San Francisco.
On the morning of November 18, homicide detectives and San Francisco police officers located and arrested the two suspects at a hotel on Geneva Avenue in Daly City. Investigators also obtained a search warrant for the room and confiscated additional evidence related to the investigation, police said.
Both were booked at the San Francisco County jail on suspicion of homicide and attempted homicide. Faalogoifo also reportedly faces a charge of PRCS violation.
