43-year-old Wesley Brownlee, the primary suspect in a series of killings in Stockton, has reportedly been charged in connection to four additional murders and one additional attempted murder.

The San Joaquin District Attorney’s Office announced yesterday — Wednesday, December 28 — that Brownlee is to face four additional charges of murder in the deaths of Juan Alexander Vasquez and Mervin Harmon, both of Alameda County, as well as Paul Yaw and Salvador Debudey Jr.

Brownlee is further charged with the attempted murder of Natasha LaTour. Yaw, Debudey Jr., and LaTour were all in San Joaquin County, the DA’s Office said.

Brownlee has been in custody since October 15 after being identified as the primary suspect in a series of killings dating back to April of 2021. Police believe that Brownlee had been out “hunting” at the time of his arrest, as they’d reportedly caught him sitting in his car, wearing all black clothing and a mask around his neck, and armed with a firearm.

Prior to the new charges, Brownlee was facing three charges of murder, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, and one count of possession of ammunition by a felon.

Brownlee’s next arraignment hearing is scheduled for January 3, 2023.
