“On January 4th, 2023, at 12:01 AM, we responded to a report of a robbery of a person in the 4200 block of Coffee Road. The adult male victim who was walking was approached by a vehicle and several subjects exited, one of whom pepper sprayed the victim and took a backpack by force. The suspects fled in an older model tan-colored Yukon.
On January 4th, 2023, at 12:59 AM, the Bakersfield Police Department received a report from a concerned community member of a suspicious tan-colored Yukon circulating the area of Brimhall and Coffee Road, possibly attempting to break into vehicles.
The suspect vehicle was located in the 3700 block of Rosedale Highway and the occupants were found to be in possession of the stolen property from the previous robbery offense as well as additional evidence linking them to the offense. Manuel Sanchez (41) of Bakersfield, Angel Martinez (29) of Bakersfield, and Amber Lindley (23) of Bakersfield were arrested for robbery, conspiracy, possession of stolen property, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Thanks to the observations of the community member who reported suspicious activity the offenders were taken into custody, stolen property was returned to the victim and possible additional criminal activity was prevented.
