“So a Watch C patrol officer noticed two men riding doubles on a moped yesterday around 5 p.m. and stopped them for a traffic violation at Van Buren Boulevard and Wells Avenue. Let’s just refer to these two as Lloyd and Harry for the sake of this story.
Well, the officer immediately learned Lloyd was on probation with an active warrant for his arrest. Also, Lloyd admitted to having a lot of “dope” on him. It turns out a lot meant a good half sandwich baggie size of crystal meth, 5.03 ounces to be exact. That was some good go-to-jail-today-get-released-on-bail-the-next-day felony weight for Lloyd.
Seeing that Lloyd was coming clean, Harry admitted to have some “dope” on him too but his baggie of crystal meth was only 4 ¼ grams, or some Prop-47-says-we-can-only-cite-and-release-misdemeanor weight.
Unfortunately, Lloyd was arrested and booked into jail and Harry was issued a citation and sent on his way. As for the officer, he finished his shift then headed straight home with a strong urge to watch a certain 1994 movie starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels….Can you guess this movie? Fun fact… that movie is older than this patrol officer.”
