“This morning at around 3:45 AM, Officer Ramirez located a suspicious vehicle parked in the street at Fairmont and Tokay. As Officer Ramirez attempted to contact the occupants, the vehicle drove away on a flat tire. Officer Ramirez conducted a traffic stop on that vehicle at Crescent and Vine.
The driver of that vehicle was eventually arrested for DUI. During the investigation an unloaded, un-serialized, Polymer 80 handgun was located in the vehicle.
The 19 year old male driver (from Lodi) was ultimately arrested and booked into the LPD jail for DUI and a weapons charge. The 19 year old male passenger (from Lodi) was arrested and booked for a weapons charge.
Great job by our graveyard officers on getting another illegally possessed firearm off the streets. Lodi PD is committed to the safety and security of our community, and we encourage the public to call us if you notice any suspicious activity in your neighborhood.”
