“Last night, officers located a vehicle wanted in connection with recent catalytic converter thefts that occurred on January 4th. The driver of the vehicle was found to have multiple warrants for his arrest and was taken into custody. During further investigation and a search of the vehicle, officers located a reciprocating saw, saw blades, and bolt cutters inside a backpack along with narcotics. Detectives later responded to the suspect’s residence in the city of Corona and conducted a search. During the search, Detectives located a cut catalytic converter, and additional evidence associated with the theft of catalytic converters.
The suspect, James Sanchez, 32 years old, was booked at the West Valley Detention Center on numerous charges.”
