“On January 9, 2023, at approximately 11:45 P.M., a gas station on Walerga Road in the North area was robbed. The suspect threatened the employee with a gun and a hunting knife, took money and merchandise, then fled in a black four-door vehicle with a red sticker in place where the license plate should have been.
On the morning of January 13, 2023, at approximately 3:45 A.M., Central Frank Watch (Night Shift) Deputies observed a black 2006 Infiniti with a red sticker in the place of the license plate. As deputies approached the vehicle to initiate contact, they observed the suspect, later identified as 57-year-old Adrian RAYFORD, whom they recognized from previous contacts. They knew RAYFORD was on active probation and he was detained without incident. A probation search of his vehicle revealed an unloaded, unregistered handgun, multiple containers of marijuana, promethazine, various assorted pills, and a large amount of cash.
Robbery detectives responded to the scene and conducted a follow-up search of RAYFORD’s hotel room and located over a half pound of fentanyl (enough to kill approximately 125,000 people according to the Drug Enforcement Agency).
RAYFORD was booked into custody for various felony charges.”
