“A man wanted on several local and federal warrants has been arrested after fleeing from officers and crashing into two cars this afternoon.
Officers on patrol attempted to pull over a Honda Accord for a vehicle code violation near Main and Fifth streets.
Instead of pulling over, the driver fled from officers and blew through several stop signs before crashing into a moving car and a parked SUV on Lincoln Street. It’s here where officers caught up to the suspect, Nathanael Avila, and found him hiding underneath a parked car.
Avila had seven outstanding warrants, including a federal warrant for possession of firearms.
The 35-year-old was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on felony evasion charges.”
