MARIN CITY — A food deliveryman is being held in custody in lieu of $1 million bond—charged with attempted murder. A second man was also arrested for allegedly destroying evidence concerning this attempted homicide.
A man was reported stabbed on January 26 shortly before 2 p.m. Marin County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 200 block of Drake Avenue in Marin City.
The victim was found stabbed multiple times and unconscious when deputies arrived. He received first aid at the scene, before being transported to a hospital. Thankfully, he is expected to survive.
Investigators canvassed the neighborhood and interviewed residents to identify a suspect believed responsible for the stabbing. Recorded surveillance video evidence was also located.
On February 3, detectives executed two search warrants. One was served at a condominium building at 211 Old Quarry Road North in Larkspur, where Julian N. Wilson, an 18-year-old DoorDash deliveryman lives.
Wilson was taken into custody and booked into Marin County Jail at 12:45 p.m. This is his second arrest this year. On January 1, he was arrested for carrying a loaded firearm, when not the registered owner.
Detectives also searched a residence in Marin City, where 22-year-old Daeshawn D. Burr lives. Burr was arrested but he is no longer in custody. Burr allegedly destroyed evidence. Incidentally, Burr was also arrested in July 2022 for identity theft and conspiracy to commit a crime.
