Mechanical Violation Traffic Stop Reportedly Leads to Discovery of Ghost Gun, Suspected Narcotics

Santa Rosa police recently arrested two people after a ghost gun and suspected narcotics were discovered during a traffic stop.
On the evening of February 8th, a Santa Rosa Police Officer pulled over a vehicle in the vicinity of Hearn Avenue and Victoria Drive due to “mechanical violations,” according to a department media release.
The driver, identified Tiler Zook (20) Vacaville, was reportedly found to have a loaded .9mm Polymer-80 “ghost gun” in his waistband, along with multiple small bags containing suspected fentanyl, MDMA, cocaine, psilocybin, and various prescription narcotics.
The passenger, Isaiah Cofield (27) of Vacaville, was allegedly in possession of the lower portion of a .9mm Polymer-80 “ghost gun.”
As a result of the initial search, police obtained a search warrant for a room at a Motel 6 in Santa Rosa, where the suspects were staying. Upon executing the warrant, officers reportedly found additional drug paraphernalia and cash.
Zook was ultimately arrested on suspicion of possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of of a controlled substance while armed, carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance for sale.
Cofield was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of an unregistered firearm, and carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle.
