PLEASANTON —Two men who allegedly followed a man from a bank in Antioch and robbed him in Pleasanton were arrested by Antioch police. Each man faces a lengthy list of charges, including second-degree robbery and weapons-related charges.
On January 30, Pleasanton police received a report that an armed robbery occurred in a residential neighborhood. The victim was robbed of cash, laptop computers and a wallet containing a credit card. This happened shortly before 1 p.m.
Two men wearing ski masks exited a black sedan and approached the victim, pointing a gun and demanding money. Evidence was recorded by surveillance cameras and an automated license plate reader. It shows the suspects followed the victim from an Antioch bank ATM machine to Pleasanton.
An alert was sent to nearby agencies to be on the lookout for the suspects, after the stolen credit card was used to make purchases. The suspects were detained earlier this month in Antioch.
Both suspects were arrested after being positively identified by the victim. They were booked at Alameda County’s Santa Rita Jail. Both men have since posted bond and they are no longer in custody.
Charges were filed against Tyrell A. Brown, of Vallejo, and Andre K. Ryan, of Antioch; both 24 years old. Brown, a previously convicted felon, now faces 16 new felony charges. Ryan faces eight felony charges. Brown and Ryan both allegedly threatened witnesses.
