Three Arrested Amid Investigation into Alleged Internal Theft Ring at Company

Three people have reportedly been arrested in connection to an alleged internal theft ring operated within the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company.

According to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office, George Jimenez (39), Erika Aguilar (39), and Jose Monay (54) were identified as the three primary suspects.

The Sheriff’s Office alleges that thefts of “high-dollar valued” products were committed over the course of several months by multiple employees and family members. Investigators served five search warrants related to the investigation, and recovered over $1 million in a combination of stolen property and money made from allegedly selling said stolen property.

All three were arrested on suspicion of burglary, grand theft, embezzlement, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy to commit crime.

While Jimenez remains in custody on $1 million bail, both Aguilar and Monay were reportedly released on bail bond.
