Pair Arrested in Connection to Alleged Burglary in Fieldbrook

FIELDBROOK — Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies recently arrested two people in connection to a recent residential burglary.
Deputies responded to a call regarding a burglary in progress on the morning of February 22nd, 2023, at a residence located on the 4300 block of Fieldbrook Road. Upon receiving information that the suspects had fled, deputies located their vehicle on Murray Road and conducted a traffic stop.
During the stop, deputies identified and arrested the two occupants of the vehicle, Nathan David Sain, 30, and Kayla Marie Thornton, 33.
Upon searching the vehicle, deputies reportedly discovered numerous items reported stolen from the residence. Further search of Sain’s possession led to the discovery of burglary tools. Both Sain and Thornton were taken into custody without any incident.
Sain was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, and criminal conspiracy.
Thornton was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of burglary, possession of stolen property, and criminal conspiracy.
