Two Suspects Arrested in Relation to Security Guard Homicide

San Bernardino, CA –  Authorities have arrested a second suspect in connection with a homicide and attempted homicide investigation that began on January 28, 2023, in Muscoy. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office identified Raymond Sandoval, a 28-year-old Muscoy resident, as the second suspect involved in the case.

The first suspect was identified as a 17-year-old male juvenile from Muscoy, who was taken into custody by deputies from the Sheriff’s Specialized Enforcement Division (SWAT) on February 2, 2023. The juvenile suspect was booked into the San Bernardino County Juvenile Hall.

On January 28, 2023, deputies from the Central Station responded to reports of two private security guards being shot at a party in the 3500 block of Gray Street, in Muscoy. The deputies found the two victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and both were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Unfortunately, one of the victims, 28-year-old Howard Gabrelle Anderson Jr. from Hemet, was later pronounced dead.

The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail, has been conducting an investigation into the case, and detectives with the Sheriff’s Intelligence Unit identified Sandoval as the second suspect. On Thursday, March 16, 2023, Sandoval was located by the Sheriff’s Specialized Enforcement Division and taken into custody without incident.

Sandoval was booked into the Central Detention Center, where he remains in custody on $2,000,000 bail and a parole hold. The investigation is still ongoing, and no further details are being released at this time.
