March 20, 2023 – Santa Barbara County, Ca. – In an effort to reach out to the community for additional information regarding the activities of 37-year-old Carpinteria resident Luis Antonio Ibarra-Delgadillo, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Raquel Zick has alerted the public to his arrest and indictment on multiple charges having to do with “engaging in sexual acts with a child under the age of 10 dating back to 2015.”
According to Zick, there are concerns that “there may be additional survivors of sexual assault by Ibarra Delgadillo who have not been identified.” Following “an extensive confidential criminal investigation”, Ibarra Delgadillo was contacted at his residence in
Carpinteria on March 10, 2023 and taken into custody without incident. He was transported to Santa Barbara County Jail, where he was booked on multiple felony sexual assault charges with several criminal enhancements.
Ibarra Delgadillo appeared in Santa Barbara Superior Court on March 20 th and entered not-guilty pleas to all charges filed by Deputy District Attorney Sarah Barkley. He remains in custody, with his bail set at $500,000.
