Rialto, CA- Rialto Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, along with the FBI, Riverside County Child Exploitation Team (RCCET), and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) have made an arrest after a two-year investigation into the exploitation of a 16-year-old victim in Rialto, California.
According to reports, the victim communicated via social media with someone whom she believed to be a 16-year-old male named “Antonio” for two years. Over that time, the victim and suspect exchanged nude photographs of each other and arranged to meet in person. In August 2022, the suspect became jealous and suspected the victim was communicating with other people. As a result, he hacked her Instagram account and exposed her nude photographs as a form of revenge.
The ICAC Task Force identified the suspect as 23-year-old Adrian Marcelino Ceja, a resident of Rialto. On March 8, 2023, officers served a search warrant at Ceja’s residence on W. Granada St. in Rialto with the assistance of other agencies. During the search, Ceja was arrested for various charges, including production of child pornography, possession of child pornography, contact with a minor with intent for sex, arranging a meeting with a minor for lewd purposes, hacking or altering a computer, and nonconsensual distribution of pornography.
Ceja was booked at the West Valley Detention Center with a bail amount of $100,000. The investigation is ongoing as there is evidence of additional victims.
The Rialto Police Department and other agencies involved in the investigation commend the victim for coming forward and urge anyone with information about similar incidents to contact the ICAC Task Force or local authorities. They remind the public to be vigilant and monitor their children’s online activities to prevent such crimes from happening.
