According to a department press release, San Francisco police officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 300 block of La Grande Ave on January 22. When they arrived at the scene, they found an adult male who had suffered a gunshot wound. Despite the officers’ and medics’ attempts to save his life, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators from the San Francisco Police Homicide Detail took over the case and began to investigate the incident. Through their investigation, they identified 36-year-old Elmer Daniel Flores Buezo, a San Francisco resident, as a suspect involved in the homicide.
Investigators obtained an arrest warrant and search warrants for his residence and vehicle. On March 23, at approximately 5 AM, members of the SFPD Homicide Detail, Tactical Unit, and Specialist Unit executed a search warrant at the 600 block of Persia Street. During the search, they found Buezo and evidence related to the investigation.
Buezo was arrested at the scene, police said.
