Buena Park Woman Arrested on Suspicion of Murder in Mother’s Death

“BUENA PARK, Calif. — On Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at 5:30 a.m., Buena Park Police Department patrol officers and Orange County Fire Authority paramedics responded to 7551 Orangethorpe Avenue on a medical aid call. Orange County Fire Authority declared a 95-year-old female with visible traumatic injuries deceased inside the apartment. The decedent’s daughter was present, and detectives arrested her for murder based on their investigation at the scene.
The homicide victim was identified as 95-year-old Maria Hernandez, a resident of Buena Park. Detectives are not releasing any further information at this time. Mercedes Camarana was booked at Orange County Jail pending a scheduled court appearance.”
