San Francisco, California – On April 4, 2023, at around 2:35 a.m., San Francisco Police officers from Southern Station received a report of a stabbing in the 300 block of Main Street. Officers arrived at the scene and found the victim, 43-year-old Robert Lee, with apparent stab wounds. Despite efforts by first responders and medical personnel, the victim succumbed to his injuries and passed away at a local hospital.
The San Francisco Police Department’s Homicide Detail is investigating the case. San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott expressed his condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Mr. Lee and stated that there is no place for this kind of violent crime in the city. He assured the public that the department’s investigators are working hard to make an arrest and bring justice to the victim and his loved ones, as they do in every homicide case.
The investigation is still in its early stages, and as such, the department is not commenting on evidence or speculating on the circumstances surrounding the crime. The San Francisco Police Department has committed the necessary resources and personnel to the investigation and is ready to respond to all calls for service.
