Napa, California – A shooting incident occurred in the City of Napa on 4/5/23 at 11:30 PM, leaving two teenagers injured. The Napa Police Department (NPD) received multiple calls reporting gunshots in the 3000 block of Browns Valley Road near Charter Oak Apartments.
Responding officers received a subsequent 911 call from two shooting victims, an 18-year-old male, and a 17-year-old male, who had driven away from the scene. Both sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the gunfire.
NPD officers and SEU detectives later responded to the 3000 block of Browns Valley Road and found multiple shell casings near the Charter Oak Apartments. The suspect(s) responsible for the shooting are still outstanding, and NPD believes this to be a gang-related incident after conducting their initial investigation.
The NPD is appealing to the community to provide any information they may have that can help with the investigation. Anyone who witnessed the shooting, has video surveillance or still images, or has information on the suspects and has not yet been interviewed by the Napa Police Department should contact Napa Police SEU Detective Andy Oros at aoros@cityofnapa.org.
