On April 16th, 2022, Redding Police Officers responded to a report of a male suspect attempting to gain entry into a commercial office building in the area of Park Marina Drive and South Street. Upon arrival, officers set up a perimeter and observed John Tedeschi, aged 20 and formerly of Eureka, jumping down from the main floor of the building and hiding himself underneath it.
Tedeschi, who had previously been arrested twice in April 2023 for commercial burglary, was found by Officer Tapal and his K9 partner Lido. Tedeschi surrendered and was arrested without incident.
During the investigation, officers discovered that forced entry had been made to one of the offices, and items from inside had been stolen and discarded nearby. Tedeschi was subsequently booked into the Shasta County Jail for Second Degree Burglary.
This marks the third time in April 2023 that Redding Police have arrested Tedeschi for crimes related to commercial burglary.
