“On Friday April 14th at about 8:00 in the morning deputies responded to the 21000 block of Phoenix Lake Rd for a report of a stabbing. The location was the same residence TCSO responded to in February for a recent hostage incident.
Arriving deputies found a man outside the home with injuries consistent with stab wounds. The man was later transported from the scene via ambulance.
Detectives from the Tuolumne County Investigations Division were called out to the scene to continue the investigation. Detectives served a search warrant at the residence. During the investigation TCSO received a call from a female juvenile who requested to speak with deputies and voluntarily admitted to being the person responsible for the stabbing. The juvenile was taken into custody and booked at the Tuolumne County Juvenile Hall for 664/187 – Attempted Homicide and 245 PC- Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
This is still an active investigation. Detectives are continuing to conduct interviews and following up on all available leads.
